Desert Day 41 is a one-day, guided retreat created for women who have recently come through a wilderness season and are ready to discern how God is redeeming it. Where Desert Day 40 helps you navigate the wilderness, Desert Day 41 invites you to pause, look back with clarity, and step forward with courage. Because the end of the wilderness doesn’t mean the work is over. Often, it means the work is just beginning.
The wilderness leaves marks — growth you didn’t notice at the time, strength you didn’t know you were building, faith forged in ways comfort never could. Desert Day 41 is an invitation to notice those marks. To name what God has grown in you. To recognize how He was present, forming and preparing you even when the path felt unclear.
Held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the peaceful Country Lake Christian Retreat Center – Lake House in Henryville, Indiana, this intimate, small-group retreat offers generous space to slow down and listen deeply. Through worship, rich biblical teaching, guided reflection, creative expression, and extended time for prayer and Scripture, you’ll begin to see your wilderness season not as wasted time — but as sacred preparation. What comes after the wilderness? Calling. Identity clarified. A holy invitation forward.
Throughout the day, we’ll reflect on what the wilderness produced in us, explore Scripture around identity and purpose, and prayerfully respond to God’s invitation into the next season. Desert Day 41 centers on this truth: God never wastes a wilderness. What felt like survival was actually formation. What felt like waiting was preparation. This is a day of honoring where you’ve been, discerning where God is leading, and receiving the courage to say yes — even if the next step still feels tender or undefined.
