You’ll learn how to make stillness a consistent rhythm in your life\, experiencing the supernatural calm afforded to those who take time to be still.\nCreative Activities: Engage with interactive\, hands-on projects that allow you time to reflect and express yourself—all done in silence to deepen your connection with Christ.\nReflection & Prayer: Engage in reflective prayer practices and personal time with God\, using silence to focus on His presence and prepare for the beauty of Christ’s coming. You’ll have optional activities to enhance your silent retreat\, such as time in nature and spaces for meditation. \n\n\n\n\nNourishing Food: Each aspect of this retreat is designed to help fill your body and soul with God’s gifts of goodness and peace. Enjoy three delicious meals in silence throughout the retreat. \n\nYou’ll leave this retreat with a renewed sense of inner peace and a deeper connection to the true meaning of Christmas. SUMMARY:Desert Day 40
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is in a wilderness. Maybe you’re entering one. Maybe you’re deep in the middle of one. Maybe you’re just finding your way out. Whether it’s a season of grief\, uncertainty in your career path\, relational strain\, health battles or spiritual dryness — the “wilderness” looks different for each of us. But what unites us is this: we all walk through it. \nDesert Day 40 is a one-day\, guided retreat designed to reframe your wilderness season\, help you recognize its purpose\, and give you a roadmap for navigating its challenges with grace and hope. \nWhat is the wilderness? It’s the space where clarity disappears and certainty evaporates. It’s uncomfortable. Unfamiliar. Unsettling. The path is windy\, the terrain feels harsh\, and the end? It’s nowhere in sight. The wilderness is the place where you feel overwhelmed\, helpless or hopeless; where you question your direction\, your strength\, maybe even your faith; where God feels silent or distant; where nothing comes easily — not clarity\, not answers\, not peace. And yet — it is often exactly where God does His deepest work. In this space of struggle\, Desert Day 40 invites you to reimagine the wilderness not as a place of abandonment\, but as a place of intimate preparation. \nThe wilderness isn’t punishment. It’s not abandonment. It’s preparation. It’s formation. It’s the soil of spiritual growth. \nDesert Day 40 invites you to see your wilderness through new eyes. Each aspect of this one-day retreat is prayerfully designed to help you: \n\nReframing the Wilderness: See your wilderness through a new lens — not as punishment\, but preparation.\nA Biblical Roadmap: Walk the ancient paths of Israel\, Jesus\, Elijah\, and others who encountered God in the wilderness.\nRedemption in the Rough: Discover how the barren places become sacred ground.\nGod With Us: Learn to see God’s nearness and daily provision — the “manna” for your journey.\nReflection Tools: Engage in a 40-day challenge with journal prompts and spiritual exercises to take with you.\nPilgrimage Perspective: Begin to pivot your mindset — from wandering in the wilderness to walking in pilgrimage.\n\nWhether your wilderness is fresh\, long-standing\, or just behind you\, Desert Day 40 is a sacred space to pause\, breathe\, and remember this truth: You are not alone. God is near. And the wilderness will not last forever. Desert Day 40 is not about escaping the wilderness. It’s about inviting God into it. It’s about walking the shadowed path with the assurance that He is near\, that growth happens in the valley\, and that what feels like the end might just be the beginning. Come. Be renewed. Be reoriented. Let the wilderness redeem you.

SUMMARY:Desert Day 41
DESCRIPTION:You’ve walked through the wilderness. You’ve survived what felt overwhelming. Now you’re standing on the edge of what’s next — wondering what God intends to do with all you’ve carried. \nDesert Day 41 is a one-day\, guided retreat created for women who have recently come through a wilderness season and are ready to discern how God is redeeming it. Where Desert Day 40 helps you navigate the wilderness\, Desert Day 41 invites you to pause\, look back with clarity\, and step forward with courage. Because the end of the wilderness doesn’t mean the work is over. Often\, it means the work is just beginning. \nThe wilderness leaves marks — growth you didn’t notice at the time\, strength you didn’t know you were building\, faith forged in ways comfort never could. Desert Day 41 is an invitation to notice those marks. To name what God has grown in you. To recognize how He was present\, forming and preparing you even when the path felt unclear. \nHeld from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the peaceful Country Lake Christian Retreat Center – Lake House in Henryville\, Indiana\, this intimate\, small-group retreat offers generous space to slow down and listen deeply. Through worship\, rich biblical teaching\, guided reflection\, creative expression\, and extended time for prayer and Scripture\, you’ll begin to see your wilderness season not as wasted time — but as sacred preparation. What comes after the wilderness? Calling. Identity clarified. A holy invitation forward. \nThroughout the day\, we’ll reflect on what the wilderness produced in us\, explore Scripture around identity and purpose\, and prayerfully respond to God’s invitation into the next season. Desert Day 41 centers on this truth: God never wastes a wilderness. What felt like survival was actually formation. What felt like waiting was preparation. This is a day of honoring where you’ve been\, discerning where God is leading\, and receiving the courage to say yes — even if the next step still feels tender or undefined.  \nDesert Day 41 is a natural continuation of Desert Day 40 and a beautiful retreat to attend alongside a trusted friend who is seeking rest\, renewal\, and clarity. Come expecting a gentle\, hope-filled day — one that honors your story\, names God’s faithfulness\, and equips you to walk forward with confidence. \nThe wilderness shaped you. Now let God reveal why.
